At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the In Vivo Pharmacology Department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

LAS Veterinarian (f/m/d) Pre-clinical research, drug development and biomarker discovery

Permanent in part time or full time
Veterinary care and of laboratory animals (mice and rats)
Contribution to the cross site veterinary team
Assistance in laboratory animal sciences
Discussing animal permits with scientists
Join and later chair the IACUC
Attend face-to-face and online meetings with clients, partners and colleagues
Collaborate with the responsible people for in vivo models, pharmacology and toxicology project leaders
Assist in reviewing protocols, study designs, data and reports
Assist in the evaluation, validation and implementation of new techniques, tools, readouts, models, methods, equipment and platforms
Keep yourself up to date with the state of the art, scientific proceedings, new techniques and technologies in your field; attend scientific meetings and continuing education seminars
Reporting of animal numbers according to the legal regulations
Take on responsibility for the veterinary pharmacy

Doctor’s degree in veterinary medicine (DVM / Dr. med. vet.), ideally board-certified Veterinary LAS specialist (Fachtierarzt für Versuchstierkunde) is a must
FELASA C or equivalent certification is required
Excellent proficiency in written and spoken German (required) and English
Experience with AAALAC
Scientific research experience in academia or industry, proficiency in statistics
In depth knowledge of animal welfare and the 3rs principle
Scientific attitude, analytical mind, critical awareness of potential bias and error sources
Strong drive to increase own knowledge and share thoughts with others
